November Meeting Highlights:
A Superb Double Initiation Ceremony

Welcoming Our New Brothers: A Historic Evening at Harrington Lodge

At our November meeting, Harrington Lodge No. 5098 celebrated a significant milestone by performing a superb double initiation ceremony for our two newest Entered Apprentices, Brother David King and Brother Michael Bradbury. This marked the first time in the lodge’s history that we have conducted a double initiation—a feat that required extensive preparation, rehearsal, and teamwork from all involved. Thanks to the dedication and skill of the brethren, the evening unfolded with precision and reverence, honoring our cherished traditions.

We warmly welcome Brother King and Brother Bradbury as they begin their Masonic journey with us here at Harrington Lodge. It is our great pleasure to support and guide them as they embark on this path of fellowship, personal growth, and service. Their journey is now part of our shared legacy, and we look forward to witnessing their progress in Freemasonry.

Recognising Dedication to Masonic Learning

The evening was further distinguished by a special presentation from Worshipful Brother Dale Bywater, the Provincial Learning and Development Officer for Derbyshire. Brother Dave Chamberlain was awarded three certificates in recognition of his completion of modules on Solomon, Freemasonry's comprehensive virtual learning environment and the world’s greatest repository of Masonic knowledge. Brother Chamberlain’s commitment to expanding his Masonic understanding serves as an inspiration to us all.

If any brethren have yet to create an account on Solomon or earn certificates, you are encouraged to sign up and complete the welcome modules. Once completed, copies of your certificates can be sent to W. Bro. Dale Bywater, who will arrange for the official Provincial certificates to be presented to you in person at a future Lodge meeting.
